2021 Road Clean-up

Trash, Discarded and forgotten. Over 4 million tons of trash is thrown out American cars each year (US EPA) this ends up in our communities and waterways. In response to this problem the HOT team 67 adopts and cleans up 2.5 miles of commerce road in order to preserve and protect our environment. Over the course of many seasons we have picked up hundreds of tons trash in our community. We strive to make our community safe and reduce the amount of waste that contaminates our environment. In around 2 ½ hours every 4 months we pick up l hundreds of bottles, straws, car parts, and golf balls. We get to bond as a team while giving back and helping the community that continually supports our program. We have tons of fun finding hidden gems while picking up trash. For example this past time we found a fork in the road (no pun intended). It’s a great way to get out of the house and help out community while having fun with friends and I encourage you to come out and help us the next time we’re out.  -Sierra Kammerer
