In 1999, as part of our Chairman’s Award submission, we asked FIRST to hold onto a time capsule that we planned to open in 25 years. In 2024, we received an email asking if we’d like to open the time capsule from 1999. We had no recollection of it and were thrilled to see what it contained. We reached out to a few former mentors and students to see if they could remember what might be inside. One of the items we found was a video, which seemed like a great place to start. From there, enjoy a look back at FIRST and HOT team history, culminating in us opening the time capsule at the World Championship in Houston, TX, in 2024. We also left another time capsule with FIRST for the 2049 team to enjoy when they look back on FIRST and the HOT team!
