Communications

Communications is a multidisciplinary team consisting of students from all other teams, who meet on Saturdays and at various other times throughout the week’s meetings to discuss and execute the creative projects to showcase and promote our robot and team. Favorite projects involving students include designing each year’s seasonal Thursday shirt for competition, pin buttons for trading at competitions, spirit wear, peer awards, and the biweekly HOT second. Other students write essays for the various awards (such as Woodie Flowers, Innovation, and Automation Awards), author articles for local newspapers, design various publicity materials like team banners and robot reveal videos, create and deliver robot presentations for the team and community, and produce regular updates to both the website and social media.
